Günter Wenzel

Günter Wenzel has been a research associate at Fraunhofer IAO in Stuttgart since 2001 and established the "Building Culture Innovation" team there. Since completing his architecture studies in Stuttgart, he has been engaged with information and communication technologies in the lifecycle of our built environment. Currently, he is working on topics such as "Virtual Techniques in User and Citizen Participation," "Seamless Data Processes in the Lifecycle of the Built Environment," "Climate-Neutral Construction Sites," and "Transformation in the Construction Industry". He is a co-founder of the BIM-Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V. and served as a board member for seven years to promote the introduction of the BIM method. Currently, he leads the STEC Center for Industrialized Construction and Renovation (ZIBS) at Fraunhofer IAO on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg.
