Dr.-Ing. Bernd Petraus

"We need to digitize our engineers." was the statement of the TMM planning group (including Fact GmbH, TMM Group Gesamtplanungs GmbH, LiveCAD GmbH, DBI AG) a few years ago. You could say "misunderstood" or "overshot the mark" when
Bernd Petraus took on this task as technical director of the TMM Group. He didn`t actually focus on digitally empowering the engineers, but instead founded a new subsidiary company, DBI AG, which solves the problem at a purely software level. In
fact, the energy calculation software berta & rudi, functioning as an AI assistant, is the most literal interpretation of the introductory statement. 

Existential anxiety has since dissipated, and berta & rudi are now recognized as full-fledged colleagues
within the group. And because working with berta & rudi turned out to be quite pleasant, "digital empowerment" was no longer such a big issue. Lucky for us. Since then, Bernd Petraus has never tired of emphasizing the strategic importance of the
interaction between software and engineers.
