Tobias Förtsch
TUM Venture Lab Built Environment
Tobias Förtsch completed his Industrial Design studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Dresden and at the Ingvar Kamprad Design Center in Lund. Subsequently, he founded and led several of his own startups for over eight years as a co-founder and industrial designer. Starting in 2017, he translated his experience into academia, exploring with students and startups how design as an attitude, a method, and a toolkit can help young companies achieve sustainable success.
Since 2020, he has been serving as the Managing Director of the TUM Venture Lab Built Environment, empowering a new generation of designers to develop innovations for a livable and sustainable built environment.
